The Blood of Dawnwalker is almost here, and Rebel Wolves has revealed what players can expect from its dark fantasy RPG. The game launches on September 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Bandai Namco publishing the studio's debut project.
Players control Coen, a young man caught between human and vampire life in 14th-century Europe. His family has been taken by the vampire ruler Brencis, and the rescue is built around a 30-day limit, open-ended quests, and choices that can change how the story develops.

Vale Sangora is a fictional region in the Carpathian Mountains, shaped by war, plague, and a new vampire order. Coen becomes a Dawnwalker after his transformation leaves him human during the day and vampiric at night. Brencis holds his family, giving Coen 30 days and nights to act.
Rebel Wolves describes the game as a narrative sandbox rather than a fixed chain of quests. Players can follow different leads, form alliances, ignore opportunities, or even confront Brencis early. Completed actions can change later events, while missed quests may disappear as the story moves forward.
The clock advances only when certain activities are completed, so exploring does not drain the 30-day limit. Quests and other choices show their time cost before players commit. The system keeps pressure on Coen's rescue without turning exploration into a real-time countdown.

Daytime combat uses Coen's human skills, including sword fighting and ritual magic. Attacks and blocks can use directional inputs, while abilities build from charges earned during combat. Easier settings can make some enemy attacks slower. This gives players more time to react without lowering enemy damage.
Coen gains vampire abilities at night, changing both combat and movement. He can fight with claws, cross rooftops with powers such as Shadowstep, and use supernatural skills unavailable during the day. His vampire form also needs blood, which affects how players deal with people and creatures.
The latest official trailer confirms two combat control styles. Players can use adaptive omniattack and omniblock controls for a simpler approach, or choose a directional system based on timing, parries, and ripostes. Both keep the game focused on close-range fighting while giving players different ways to handle encounters.
Vale Sangora includes forests, swamps, caves, mountains, settlements, ruins, and the city of Svartrau. The whole map is visible from the start, but activities must be discovered before their details appear. Players can find shrines, bandit camps, monster nests, haunted areas, and hidden treasure.
Characters can become unavailable, new routes can open, and choices may change later events. Dynamic weather is also confirmed, with conditions such as fog affecting visibility while players travel through the valley.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and is the first chapter of Rebel Wolves' Dawnwalker saga. The studio says later entries can move across different centuries and parts of the world, while this first game stays focused on Coen, Brencis, and Vale Sangora.
