Palworld already has many of the pieces an MMO needs: shared bases, rare creatures, boss fights, crafting, and players turning quiet servers into complete chaos. Garena is now building that idea into Palworld Online, but the first full MMO spin-off is heading only to phones instead of the PC and console audience that made the series a hit.
The officially licensed project is planned for iOS and Android later in 2026, with Garena leading development and publishing while Pocketpair supports the adaptation. It will use a new setting, original story material, and systems redesigned for touch screens, making it a separate game rather than a mobile port of the original Palworld.

A seamless shared world gives the game room to expand the social side of Palworld beyond small private servers. Players can meet others while exploring, form groups, hunt rare Pals, fight open-world bosses, and take part in co-op or competitive activities without returning to a separate lobby after every task.
Shared settlements also make sense for a series built around turning captured creatures into workers, guards, and production lines. Groups can construct bases together, automate jobs, prepare defences, and visit other settlements, giving the world a stronger community structure than the isolated camps many players built in the original game.
Garena is adding new regions, hidden rewards, and exclusive side stories rather than retelling the same campaign on a smaller screen. The announcement still leaves most of that content unexplained, but a fresh setting gives Palworld Online a chance to feel like its own branch of the series instead of a reduced copy.

Building, aiming, inventory management, and Pal commands already fill a large amount of screen space, which makes phones a difficult fit for the series. Garena is creating touch controls and optional one-tap actions for construction, relocation, and Pal deployment, but easier inputs may also remove some of the freedom players enjoy.
The original game works best when players can improvise, move objects, reorganise bases, and react quickly when a plan fails. A better mobile interface could make routine jobs faster, yet the real test is whether those shortcuts still leave enough control when combat gets busy or several systems demand attention at once.
Existing players also have no confirmed route for bringing over characters, Pals, or years of progress. No PC or console version has been announced either, so the people who built the audience may be asked to begin again on a platform they did not choose. That makes the project a tougher sell before anyone sees how well it plays.
Garena has not explained whether Palworld Online will be free, premium, or supported by in-app purchases. A creature-collecting MMO offers plenty of places to sell convenience, cosmetics, faster progress, or limited rewards, and players will judge the project quickly if spending begins to shape the strongest builds or rarest Pals.
The original Palworld became popular as a paid game where long sessions were not controlled by energy limits or constant purchase prompts. Keeping that freedom would help the mobile spin-off feel like a real expansion of the series, while aggressive monetisation could make even strong combat and base building difficult to enjoy.
A full release date has not been announced beyond the 2026 window, leaving Garena time to show how the touch controls, shared settlements, and large battles work on an actual phone. The next reveal needs real gameplay and a clear payment model, because those two details will decide whether existing fans see Palworld Online as a new adventure or an unnecessary detour.
