Paralives players will not have to keep pretending the game's babies look normal for much longer. Paralives Studio has confirmed that its next patch arrives on August 10 with redesigned baby models, following weeks of jokes and complaints about their strange faces and adult-like proportions. The first preview already looks much softer and more natural.
The change comes only a few months into Early Access, where babies have become one of the clearest examples of a feature that needed another pass. The studio has not revealed the full patch notes yet, but it has confirmed that the update will improve both faces and bodies rather than hiding the problem behind a few new presets.

The current babies often look less like newborn Paras and more like smaller adults with oversized heads, sharp features, and stiff bodies. That effect becomes harder to ignore during close-up family scenes, where players are meant to feel attached to a new child instead of being distracted by an expression that looks slightly wrong.
The August redesign gives babies softer facial features and more believable body proportions. These changes may sound small compared with a new career or town system, but life simulation games depend heavily on characters feeling expressive and familiar during ordinary moments such as feeding, holding, and putting a baby to sleep.
Earlier updates had already tried to improve this life stage by adding more baby presets and removing teeth from them. Those fixes helped with variety and one especially unsettling detail, but they did not change the basic model enough. The new patch appears to address the shape underneath those presets instead of continuing to work around it.

The baby problem became hard to miss soon after launch, with one popular community post offering its own examples of how the faces and body shapes could be improved. That discussion received more than 12,000 upvotes, showing that the reaction was not limited to a few screenshots shared for a joke.
Paralives Studio responded directly by saying it had heard the feedback and showing the replacement models before the patch arrived. That quick response fits the purpose of Early Access, where unfinished systems are supposed to change through player testing. It also shows that visual complaints are being treated as real design problems instead of harmless memes.
The studio has already released frequent updates covering saves, mirrors, jobs, animations, mods, and unusual bugs. One recent patch stopped a naked Para nicknamed Charlie from appearing after childbirth, while another removed baby teeth. Fixing the models next keeps the family side of the game moving forward instead of leaving its strangest issues untouched.
Better models will make screenshots and family scenes easier to enjoy, but appearance is only one part of the current baby experience. Players have also reported babies disappearing, teleporting, becoming stuck, and breaking care interactions. Those problems can turn a normal household routine into repeated saving, reloading, or searching around the lot.
The August 10 update may include more fixes beyond the visual overhaul, although the studio has only previewed the new look so far. Full patch notes will be needed to show whether feeding, carrying, sleeping, and other interactions become more reliable. A nicer face will not help much when the baby has vanished from its crib again.
For a life simulator built around following families over many years, each age needs enough detail to feel worth playing. The redesign is an important first step because it removes the problem players notice immediately. The next challenge is making babies dependable enough that raising one feels like part of the story rather than another Early Access test.
