Ubisoft 40th Anniversary Sale Cuts Assassin's Creed Shadows and More on Nintendo eShop

Ubisoft's 40th Anniversary Sale is now live on the Nintendo eShop through October 7, with the US storefront discounting a mix of Switch and Switch 2 games.

The promotion covers newer releases such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws alongside older Ubisoft titles and collections. Some of the steepest reductions are on the Assassin's Creed and Mario + Rabbids series, giving the sale a wider range than a promotion focused only on recent games.

Assassin's Creed Shadows has been reduced from $59.99 to $32.98 on Switch 2, cutting 45% from the standard edition.

Players looking for the larger package can instead pick up the Premium Edition for $59.98, down from $99.99. The separate Claws of Awaji expansion is also discounted from $24.99 to $17.48.

The sale also includes Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition, which has fallen from $59.99 to $35.98. The Gold Edition includes the base game and Season Pass, making it one of the more substantial discounts among Ubisoft's newer Nintendo releases.

Those offers give Switch 2 owners several relatively recent Ubisoft games to choose from, while the deepest percentage cuts are found among the older Switch catalogue.

The Assassin's Creed Anniversary Edition Mega Bundle has dropped 70% from $99.99 to $29.99.

It combines several older entries through The Ezio Collection, The Rebel Collection and Assassin's Creed III Remastered, creating a much broader package than buying one of the individual collections separately.

Those individual releases are also included in the sale. Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is down from $39.99 to $7.99, while Assassin's Creed III Remastered has fallen from $39.99 to $14.79.

For players interested mainly in the older games, those reductions represent some of the largest savings in the anniversary promotion without requiring a purchase of Ubisoft's newer Switch 2 releases.

Ubisoft has also heavily discounted both Mario + Rabbids games.

The Gold Edition of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available for $8.99 instead of $89.99, while Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Gold Edition has also been reduced to $8.99 from $59.99.

The sale extends beyond those franchises, with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown reduced 70% from $29.99 to $8.99. Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, UNO and several other Ubisoft releases are also included.

Ubisoft's Nintendo eShop anniversary sale runs through October 7, giving Switch and Switch 2 players a limited window to pick up the discounted games before regular pricing returns.
