BESTIA and Fluxo move closer to paiN in Americas CS2 rankings

The race for the Americas’ final places at the PGL Singapore Major has tightened after Circuit X Curitiba Season 3. BESTIA and Fluxo are now just 14 Valve Regional Standings points behind paiN after strong performances at the Brazilian event.

paiN currently sits ninth in the Americas with 1,157 points, while Fluxo and BESTIA are tied on 1,143. The region has nine places at the Singapore Major, making ninth position the current qualification cutoff ahead of the November 2 ranking deadline.

BESTIA made the biggest move of the three teams after winning Circuit X Curitiba. The team earned 204 VRS points during its title run, moving much closer to the Major qualification places.

The tournament was BESTIA’s first LAN since adding André “drop” Abreu and Kaue “kauez” Kaschuk. They lost only once during the event, falling 2-0 to Galorys in the group stage before recovering through the playoffs.

BESTIA beat Imperial 2-1 in the quarterfinals and swept ShindeN 2-0 in the semifinals. A 2-0 victory over Bounty Hunters in the final secured the championship, while drop was named tournament MVP by Dust2 Brasil.

Fluxo also made progress in the standings after collecting 99 points in Curitiba. Their most important result came against paiN in the quarterfinals, where Fluxo eliminated the higher-ranked Brazilian team.

A semifinal loss to Bounty Hunters ended Fluxo’s title hopes, but the team recovered in the third-place match. Fluxo defeated ShindeN to finish behind BESTIA and Bounty Hunters.

The run left Fluxo level with BESTIA on 1,143 VRS points. With paiN only 14 points ahead, another strong result could change the order before the Singapore Major invitations are decided.

paiN entered Circuit X Curitiba with an opportunity to increase the gap over the teams chasing them. Instead, their quarterfinal loss to Fluxo limited them to a gain of only 14 points.

Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt and his teammates still hold ninth place, but their advantage has become

much smaller. The team will next compete at FERJEE In House from September 23 to 27, where Imperial and Bounty Hunters are also expected to contend. Those matches give paiN another chance to add ranking points before the November cutoff.

BESTIA and Fluxo will continue their qualification campaigns outside Brazil. BESTIA is heading to the United States for iBUYPOWER Masters FML, while Fluxo will travel to Portugal for LEON.bet Masters Season 1.

PGL Singapore Major qualification will be decided through the Valve Regional Standings on November 2. The Americas will send nine teams to the event, one fewer than at the earlier IEM Cologne Major. paiN leads both BESTIA and Fluxo by only 14 points, leaving the final qualification place closely contested.
