Crimson Desert update fixes disappearing outdoor furniture
June 23, 2026·3 min read
Decorating a home in a game is supposed to be the relaxing part. Players spend time crafting the right pieces, moving chairs a little closer to a table, placing lights near a path, and making an empty space feel like it belongs to them. So when outdoor furniture starts disappearing, even a small bug can feel personal.
That is what Pearl Abyss has now fixed in Crimson Desert. Hotfix 1.12.01 addresses an issue where furniture placed outside a house could vanish in some situations. The fix arrives shortly after Version 1.12.00 added outdoor house decoration and 58 new housing items.
Outdoor decorating gave players more space
Version 1.12.00 was a useful update for players who enjoy housing. Before this, decorating was more limited, but the new system lets players place items around the outside of their homes.
That makes a big difference for anyone who treats housing as more than a side feature. A home can now have a proper outdoor area with lights, planters, tools, fountains, wells, carpets, braziers, automata toys, a music box, and pet furniture.
Many of the new items can be crafted through a Workstation or Loom after players find the right manuals. Those manuals can come from shops, claw machines, missions, the Box of Fortune, and the Orb Roll Challenge, which gives decorators more reasons to explore and collect.

The hotfix solves the missing furniture problem
The new outdoor system quickly ran into a problem. Some furniture placed outside could disappear, which made the feature feel risky for players who had already started building out their space.
Hotfix 1.12.01 is meant to stop that from happening in certain cases. It is not the biggest patch in the world, but it fixes the exact kind of bug that can make players avoid a new feature.
If someone spends time crafting and placing items, they expect those pieces to stay there. Losing a chair, planter, or lamp may sound small compared to combat bugs, but for housing players, it can ruin the fun fast.
Other fixes clean up rough edges
Pearl Abyss fixed an issue where players could not climb onto moving objects in some situations, which should help with movement during normal exploration.
The update also fixes unnatural lighting on glass materials, floating terrain on the path to the Sanctum of Faith, and a bug where Skunky could disappear after being placed in camp. These are smaller fixes, but they help make the latest version feel less messy.
Hotfix 1.12.01 is available now on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Pearl Abyss says the Epic Games Store and Mac App Store versions are still being rolled out, so players on those platforms may need to wait a little longer.
Housing should feel safe to use again
Outdoor decoration is not the loudest part of Crimson Desert, but it gives players something quieter to care about between fights, travel, and crafting. A good housing system makes the world feel less like a place players pass through and more like somewhere they can settle.
That only works when the game protects the time players put into it. The new hotfix gives decorators a better reason to return to their outdoor spaces, place the items they earned, and keep building without worrying that everything might disappear.
