Dead by Daylight confirms Terrifier Chapter for November
June 23, 2026·3 min read
Art the Clown is exactly the type of horror villain Dead by Daylight fans have been waiting for. He is silent, nasty, unpredictable, and uncomfortable in a way that stands out from older slasher icons. He does not need a big speech or a complicated reason to scare people. He just needs to show up.
Behaviour has confirmed that Terrifier is coming to Dead by Daylight in November 2026, with Art the Clown shown as the headline addition. The teaser does not reveal every part of the Chapter yet, but it gives horror fans the answer they wanted: Art is entering The Fog.
Art brings a different kind of horror
Dead by Daylight already has many famous horror names. Michael Myers, Leatherface, Ghost Face, Freddy Krueger, and other icons have helped turn the game into a horror crossover hub. Art feels different because he comes from a newer wave of slasher films that built a fan base through practical gore, shock, and a very strange screen presence.
That makes him a strong pick, but also a tricky one. Terrifier is known for being much more graphic than most mainstream horror, while Dead by Daylight still has to work inside a multiplayer game with clear rules, repeatable animations, and balance.
Behaviour does not need to copy the films’ most extreme moments to make Art work. His silence, clown look, cruel humor, and awkward body language can do a lot of the heavy lifting if they are used well in chases and animations.

The gameplay reveal will decide the hype
Behaviour has not confirmed his power, perks, cosmetics, map, Survivor, or price yet, so players still need the full gameplay reveal before judging the Chapter.
That reveal is important because licensed killers cannot survive on name value alone. Fans may buy in because they know Art, but they will keep playing him only if his power feels fun, fair, and different from what is already in the game.
Art could use tricks, tools, sudden pressure, or a chase style built around making Survivors feel unsafe. The best version would make him feel strange without turning him into a messy gimmick.
He needs to feel different from The Clown
Art also has one obvious problem to solve: Dead by Daylight already has a clown killer. The Clown has his own gas-based power and match rhythm, so Art cannot rely only on makeup, weapons, and the license.
Art should feel playful in a cruel way, like he is enjoying the chase and waiting for Survivors to make a mistake. His animations, sound design, and movement can help sell that personality before his power even comes into play.
That is where Behaviour can make the Chapter stand out. Art should not feel like another slasher wearing a familiar outfit. He should feel wrong the moment he appears in a trial.
November gives Behaviour time to show more
A November release gives Behaviour time to prepare a bigger reveal after Halloween. That timing keeps horror fans watching even after the usual October rush, and it gives Dead by Daylight another licensed Chapter to carry interest late in the year.
For now, the announcement is effective because it confirms the crossover without showing too much. The real test comes when players see Art in motion, hear how he sounds in a trial, and learn what his power does.
If Behaviour captures the strange, mean energy that made Terrifier stand out, Art the Clown could become one of Dead by Daylight’s most talked-about modern horror additions.
