Crimson Desert Enhanced Is a Free Upgrade for Existing Owners

Crimson Desert has been upgraded to Crimson Desert Enhanced, with Pearl Abyss rolling out Version 2.00.00 as a free update for existing owners. The new version adds more story content, additional voice languages, changes to skill progression, and all post-launch updates released so far.

The update is available now on Steam for PC and Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store. The Mac App Store version will follow later.

Crimson Desert Enhanced is an update to the existing game rather than a separate paid release. Anyone who already owns Crimson Desert can install Version 2.00.00 without paying extra.

New buyers will also get the Enhanced content once the base game is updated to the latest version.

The Enhanced update includes all post-launch updates and additions released to date alongside the new changes introduced with Version 2.00.00.

The Enhanced update adds new cutscenes and story moments throughout the main quest while adjusting its narrative flow.

Pearl Abyss has also added knowledge entries, items, memory fragments, dialogue, and conversations to give several bosses more story context. These changes build on the existing campaign rather than replacing it with a different version.

Language support has expanded at the same time. German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese voice-overs are now available, while Arabic has been added for interface text and subtitles.

Version 2.00.00 introduces Abyss Links, a new resource used when learning skills. When one playable character spends Abyss Artifacts on a skill, the other characters receive an equivalent number of Abyss Links.

Skill progression can also be reset separately for each character. Previously, resetting progression affected everyone at once. Any Abyss Links spent by an individual character are refunded when that character's skills are reset.

Existing skill progression will reset the first time players launch the game after installing the update. Pearl Abyss says resources previously spent on skills, including Abyss Artifacts, will be refunded.

Kliff also receives eight new skills that unlock after reaching certain points in the main story. Players who have completed all main quests can carry Abyss Links and other in-game currency from an existing save into a new game.

The update includes several smaller changes alongside those larger additions, including new flying mount control options, adjustments to the Golden Star battle, main quest UI improvements, localization fixes, and other bug fixes across the game.
