Crimson Desert Just Got A Brand-New Update For July 2026

July 7, 2026·4 min read
Crimson Desert players have a new reason to return to Pywel this July, especially if they have been using Oongka, Damiane, or spending too much time making every outfit look right. Patch 1.13.00 is now live, and it gives the game a mix of useful character updates, new gear, better customization, and one small pet feature that may get more attention than anything else.

This is not a huge story expansion, but it does make the world feel a little fuller. Oongka and Damiane get more space in the endgame, players have more equipment to chase, and pets can now rest beside the character in bed.

Oongka and Damiane get a bigger role

The most useful change is for Oongka and Damiane. Both characters can now enter the Abyss, which gives players more reasons to use them beyond normal exploration and side content.

That is important because Crimson Desert works better when its extra characters feel like real options instead of side picks. Letting them take part in one of the game’s bigger activities makes the roster feel more balanced.

Pearl Abyss also moved some Memory Fragment locations for rematchable bosses because of this change. That should help the new Abyss access fit into the existing flow instead of feeling added on top.

New gear gives players more to chase

Patch 1.13.00 also brings a large collection of new equipment for players to find and use. Kliff and Oongka get 39 new pieces, while Damiane gets eight new armor pieces.

That gives players more reasons to revisit quests, shops, achievements, and other parts of the world. For a game built around big fights and long exploration, better gear rewards can make returning to old areas feel worthwhile again.

Oongka can also use most of Kliff’s outfits now, which helps him feel less limited. Damiane gets selected boss gear too, giving her more visual and build variety.

Customization feels less restricted

The update also improves dyes, which is bigger than it sounds. More disguise outfits can now be dyed, and most weapons and secondary weapons support dye options as well.

That gives players more control over how their characters look without changing how they play. In a game with this much armor, travel, and character swapping, that kind of freedom matters. It also makes the new gear more useful. A strong armor piece feels better when players can make it fit the look they already want.

Pets got the sweetest update

The smallest change could end up being one of the most useful additions for players. Summoned pets can now rest with the character in bed. It does not help in combat. It does not change progression. It just makes the world feel warmer after a long run through Pywel.

That kind of detail is easy to overlook, but players remember it. A big open-world game needs strong fights and useful rewards, but it also needs small moments that make the world feel less mechanical.

Crimson Desert Has a Clear Plan After Launch

Patch 1.13.00 also includes fixes for quests, combat, UI, loading, crashes, housing, gathering, and other systems. Those updates are not flashy, but they help smooth out the parts players touch every day. That is the real value of this July update. It gives returning players new things to use while also sanding down rough spots around the game.

Crimson Desert does not need every update to be huge. Sometimes the right update is one that makes more characters useful, adds better rewards, improves customization, and gives players one more cute reason to check on their pets before heading back out.
