Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.58 Could Cut Dungeon Queue Times With Region-Wide Matchmaking
Square Enix will let Final Fantasy XIV players queue and recruit parties across logical data centers within their region.
Final Fantasy XIV is getting a major matchmaking improvement on November 10, 2026, when Patch 7.58 allows players on different logical data centers within North America or Europe to queue for content together. The change could reduce waiting times for dungeons, trials, and raids, particularly for older content with fewer active players.
Square Enix previously introduced the system on Japanese servers and is now expanding it to Western regions. Party Finder, ranked PvP, and several social features will also benefit from the larger player pool.
Dungeon queues will work across logical data centers

Currently, Final Fantasy XIV divides its servers into logical data centers, each containing several Worlds. Players can queue with others in their own data center, but matchmaking does not automatically include players from neighboring data centers in the same region.
Patch 7.58 removes that restriction for North America and Europe. Duty Finder will search across every logical data center within the same physical region, giving the system more players to match together.
The expansion could be particularly helpful for players trying to complete older alliance raids or less popular duties, where finding enough participants can take longer. Square Enix has not provided specific estimates for how much queue times will improve.
Party Finder will make recruiting raid groups easier

Players organizing high-end raids will also gain access to a wider recruitment pool. Party Finder listings will become visible across all logical data centers within the same region, removing the need to travel elsewhere just to browse available groups.
Ranked Crystalline Conflict matchmaking will receive the same regional expansion. Cross-world linkshells, PvP teams, and fellowships will also work across data centers, alongside party invitations and private messages.
The update will also consolidate cross-world linkshells, PvP teams, and fellowships into regional databases. Duplicate names may receive identifying numbers, while players belonging to more than eight cross-world linkshells could see their excess channels temporarily deactivated until they reorganize their memberships.
The changes do not introduce matchmaking between North America and Europe. Players will continue to be matched within their respective physical regions.
World Visit will make traveling between data centers simpler
Square Enix is also changing how players visit Worlds on other logical data centers. Instead of using the separate Data Center Travel system, they will be able to select their destination through the existing World Visit feature.
The option will be available at aetherytes in Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul'dah. Players can choose another logical data center and World without returning to the character selection screen.
Existing restrictions on housing, retainers, and market board listings will remain unchanged. Data Center Travel will still support journeys from North America and Europe to Oceania.
Patch 7.58 is scheduled for November 10, with Square Enix planning approximately 24 hours of maintenance. The final maintenance schedule has not yet been announced.
