Helldivers 2 Roadmap Reveals New Biome, Enemy and Major Update 8.0

Arrowhead Game Studios has revealed an updated Helldivers 2 roadmap covering the rest of 2026, with a new biome, enemy, missions, Warbonds, and another major update planned before the end of the year.

The roadmap follows August's Major Update 7.0, Devoid of Liberty, and outlines planned deployments through December. October currently has the most confirmed additions, while Major Update 8.0 is scheduled to arrive in December.

Update 7.2 is planned for October with new missions, a new biome, another enemy type, a Warbond, and a new reward.

Arrowhead is also planning a Galactic War event and a Liberty Day event during the same update. The studio has not revealed the new enemy or biome yet, leaving their appearance and mechanics for a later announcement.

The October update follows Devoid of Liberty, which expanded the Illuminate front with new Void content, objectives, and the Wretch and Crusher enemies.

Update 7.1 comes first in September with a new Warbond and two rewards.

Arrowhead has not announced the Warbond's theme or identified the rewards, so the roadmap gives players a smaller preview of September compared with the more detailed October plans.

Quality-of-life improvements, new and ongoing Galactic Campaigns, and campaign rewards are also listed as continuing additions rather than being limited to a single numbered update.

Arrowhead will close out its current roadmap with Major Update 8.0 in December.

The studio has not revealed what the update will contain. Its placement as the next major numbered release puts it after Updates 7.1 and 7.2, but new enemies, biomes, missions, or other features should not be treated as confirmed until Arrowhead announces them.

The roadmap does not list a numbered update for November, and Arrowhead has not connected that omission to any other game or release.
