Helldivers 2 reveals Warhammer 40K Warbond weapons

July 31, 2026·3 min read
Helldivers 2’s long-awaited Warhammer 40,000 crossover will arrive on August 12 through a new Legendary Warbond called Castellan’s Creed. The collection adds weapons, armour and cosmetics inspired by the Astra Militarum, also known as the Imperial Guard.

The Warbond focuses on the elite Cadian Kasrkin rather than the larger Space Marines. Players will receive a Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle, Bolt Pistol, Meltagun and a throwable Meltamine, although some of Warhammer 40K’s most famous weapons are missing.

The P/40-K Bolt Pistol is a heavy sidearm built around strong stopping power. It brings one of Warhammer 40K’s most recognisable weapon types into Helldivers 2, but the Warbond does not include a full-sized Bolter or Heavy Bolter.

The R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle is the new primary weapon. It fires precise laser shots and is designed to work at both close and long range.

A Chainsword is also absent from the collection. However, melee weapons remain less common in Helldivers 2 than guns and support equipment.

Meltagun Targets Armoured Enemies

The 40-K Meltagun is a support weapon called in through a Stratagem. It fires a short-range beam of intense thermal energy designed to burn through armour and other tough targets.

Players can also equip the G/40-K Meltamine. The proximity mine creates a powerful thermal blast when something moves close to it, but it can harm teammates as well as enemies.

The Meltagun and Meltamine should give squads new options against heavily armoured Automatons and other large threats. Their final damage and armour penetration values have not been revealed.

Two Kasrkin Armour Sets Are Included

Castellan’s Creed adds the medium TG-8 Sharpshooter armour and the heavy TG-122 Demo-Trooper set. Both designs are based on the Cadian Kasrkin, elite human soldiers who fight for the Imperium of Man. Each set includes the new True Grit passive. It improves weapon handling and increases reload speed when using support weapons, making it useful for players carrying heavy equipment.

The Warbond also includes matching capes, banners and the Still Standing player title. Castellan’s Green patterns can be applied to the FRV, Exosuit, Shuttle and Hellpod.

Space Marine Armour Is Not Included

The crossover uses Astra Militarum equipment instead of Space Marine power armour. That choice keeps the new outfits closer to the size and role of Helldivers, who are regular human soldiers sent into dangerous battles.

Castellan’s Creed will launch across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 12. Like other Warbonds, it will require Super Credits to access and Medals to unlock its individual rewards.

Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter in which squads of up to four players are deployed from orbit onto hostile planets to complete strategic missions. Players select loadouts of weapons, armor, and stratagems that allow them to call in orbital strikes, supply drops
