Hellraiser: Revival Is Now Coming to Switch 2 on October 8

August 21, 2026·2 min read

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Saber Interactive has added Nintendo's console to the launch lineup, with the survival horror game arriving on October 8 alongside the previously announced PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions.

Switch 2 was missing when Saber and Boss Team Games originally revealed Hellraiser: Revival in July 2025. Its addition means Nintendo players will not have to wait for a later port when Hellraiser: Revival launches this October. Saber currently lists October 8 as the game's release date.

Saber's first announcement only named PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. The new Switch 2 version expands that lineup without changing the release date already announced for the other platforms.

No Switch 2-specific performance targets have been detailed yet. Saber has not announced the resolution, frame rate, or whether the Nintendo version will have any platform-specific features.

The timing still makes Switch 2 owners alongside everyone else from launch day, which is the main change from the game's previous platform plans.

Hellraiser: Revival tells a new story rather than adapting one of the existing films. Players control Aidan, who uses a mysterious puzzle box called the Genesis Configuration while trying to help his girlfriend Sunny escape from the Labyrinth.

Doug Bradley is returning as the voice of Pinhead in Hellraiser: Revival. Bradley played the character throughout the first eight Hellraiser films, while franchise creator Clive Barker has also been involved with the game's story.

The Genesis Configuration is also part of combat

Aidan will use the Genesis Configuration for more than the story surrounding the Cenobites. Saber says its supernatural abilities can be combined with conventional weapons while fighting cultists and other creatures encountered throughout the game.

The game mixes first-person action with survival horror as Aidan becomes caught up in Pinhead's ritual. Saber has positioned the project as a new chapter in the Hellraiser canon, with the Genesis Configuration sitting at the center of both Aidan's search for Sunny and his encounters with the Cenobites.
