Hellraiser: Revival release date confirmed for October
June 18, 2026·4 min read
Hellraiser: Revival now has a release date, and Saber Interactive is not hiding what kind of horror game this is. The first-person survival horror game launches on October 8, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The new trailer makes the game look violent, explicit, and much closer to Hellraiser than a safe licensed project. It follows Aidan, who uses a puzzle box called the Genesis Configuration while trying to save his girlfriend Sunny from the Labyrinth.
Saber is making a single-player horror game
Hellraiser: Revival is a single-player story game, not a multiplayer horror title. Players control Aidan as he fights cultists, faces Cenobite forces, and tries to survive a deal with Pinhead.
That is because Hellraiser needs more than a famous monster. The series is about people making dangerous choices, and Saber seems to be building the game around that idea instead of only using Pinhead as a cover image.
Doug Bradley is returning as Pinhead, which gives the game a direct link to the older films. His return should help longtime fans feel that Saber is taking the source material seriously.

The puzzle box is part of combat
The Genesis Configuration is one of the main gameplay tools. Aidan can use its powers with guns and melee weapons, so combat is not only about shooting enemies in dark rooms.
That is a smart choice for a Hellraiser game. The puzzle box is the center of the series, so it should change how players move through the world and deal with threats. It should not be only a cutscene object.
The early footage shows the box being used in fights, with official descriptions also pointing to puzzles and survival horror pacing. The full game still needs to prove that the box stays interesting across a full campaign.
The horror looks very direct
Saber is not presenting Hellraiser: Revival as a clean action game with horror branding. The game includes strong gore, body horror, torture imagery, sexual themes, addiction, abuse, and other mature material.
That kind of content will not be for everyone, but it matches the Hellraiser franchise well. A soft version of Hellraiser would miss what made the films stand out in the first place.
The bigger question is whether the game uses that material well. Shock can get attention in a trailer, but a full horror game needs strong level design, good pacing, and enemies that are scary after the first few hours.
October is the right month for it
The October 8 release date puts Hellraiser: Revival in a strong horror window. It arrives close enough to Halloween to attract players looking for something dark, but still comes out early in the month so it does not feel like a last-minute seasonal release.
It also gives Saber a clear place in the 2026 horror calendar. The game is coming after months of trailers and previews that have focused on how far it is willing to go with the source material.
That could help it stand out from safer horror games. Players who want something uncomfortable, graphic, and tied closely to a known horror franchise now have a clear date to watch.
The trailer gives Saber a clear test
It shows Pinhead, the Labyrinth, the Genesis Configuration, cultists, brutal combat, and the kind of imagery fans expect from Hellraiser. Now Saber has to show that the full game works beyond the trailer. The combat has to feel good, the puzzle box needs to add more than a few special attacks, and Aidan’s story has to give players a reason to care about the rescue.
Hellraiser: Revival has the release date, the platforms, and the right horror season. The next step is showing enough gameplay to prove that opening the box leads to a strong survival horror game.
