MrBeast Supports Viral Terraria Creator After He Announces Short Break

MrBeast has offered support to a young Terraria creator who recently went viral on Instagram after the creator announced that he would temporarily stop posting videos while his family prepares to move.
The creator, known as michaelshowscoolthings, had been regularly uploading simple Terraria gameplay clips for more than a week before telling followers that personal circumstances would keep him away from the game for several days. MrBeast responded directly to the update with a short message of encouragement.
michaelshowscoolthings told followers that he expected to stop uploading Terraria videos for around four days while his family dealt with a move.
He also said the situation had been difficult for him personally as his family prepared for the move. The creator did not suggest that he was permanently ending the videos, with the break presented as a temporary pause while his family handles the change. The announcement came after a stretch of regular uploads that had started bringing significantly more attention to his account.
The update drew support from several larger online personalities, including MrBeast. Jimmy Donaldson left a brief comment telling the creator to "Keep your head up." Other creators also responded with encouragement. Agent of Chaos told him to keep going, while Piques offered to reshare his next video when he returns.
MrBeast's comment came as michaelshowscoolthings' Terraria videos were already spreading beyond his original audience.
Part of the attention around michaelshowscoolthings has come from how straightforward the videos are. Rather than using a traditional gameplay capture setup, he records his monitor with a phone while playing Terraria. The low-production setup remained consistent as the clips began circulating more widely on Instagram.
The creator had only been posting the videos consistently for a relatively short period before the break was announced, making the rapid response from much larger creators notable.
For now, michaelshowscoolthings has described the pause as temporary and plans to return to his Terraria videos once the move is settled.
