N3on Says 24/7 AI Stream Won't Replace His Daily Kick Streams

N3on says his new 24/7 AI stream is not replacing his regular broadcasts after his announcement drew criticism from viewers.

The Kick streamer had introduced the project by calling it his "last stream as a human being" and claiming the AI version of himself would stay live indefinitely. He has since clarified that he still plans to stream every day, with the generated version running when he is offline.

N3on addressed the reaction during his September 7 stream, according to Complex, after viewers criticized the project and accused him of selling out.

He said the opportunity had been presented to him and that he wanted to experiment with something new rather than pass it up. N3on also argued that another streamer would eventually try a similar idea if he did not.

"I'm still myself, still live every day," N3on told viewers while explaining that his normal streams would continue alongside the experiment.

He also said work was still being done to fix parts of the AI stream.

N3on's original announcement described an endless stream built around a generated version of himself. He said it was powered by GPT-6 Astra and Higgsfield and presented the idea as a broadcast that could continue after he went to sleep.

His later explanation narrowed that idea considerably. Rather than leaving livestreaming himself, N3on said the AI version gives viewers something to watch during the hours when he is not personally live.

N3on also opened his response by saying the project was "not AI," despite describing it as AI-powered in his announcement. He did not explain the apparent contradiction.

N3on also called himself the "first AI streamer in the world" when announcing the experiment, but AI-driven streamers were already active years before his project.

Neuro-sama is one established example. Created by developer Vedal, the AI VTuber has been streaming on Twitch since 2022 and can interact with viewers, play games, and sing. Vedal's official site describes her as the original AI VTuber.

N3on's experiment takes a different approach by using the likeness of an existing human streamer and keeping that version active when he logs off.

Work on the AI project is continuing, with N3on saying fixes are being made following its initial launch.
