Jawgemo Reportedly Set to Join Team Vitality for 2027 VCT Season

November 3, 2026·2 min read

Jawgemo is reportedly nearing a move to Team Vitality, with HYUNMIN linked to G2 as his replacement.

G2 Esports player Alexander "jawgemo" Mor is reportedly set to join Team Vitality for the 2027 VALORANT Champions Tour season. The move would bring the former world champion to VCT EMEA after competing in the Americas throughout his career.

The 2023 Champions winner is expected to take over Vitality's Duelist position following Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev's departure. The transfer has not been officially announced by either organization.

Vitality is rebuilding its roster after reaching the grand final of VALORANT Champions Shanghai in October. The French organization defeated Nongshim RedForce, G2 Esports, and 100 Thieves during the playoffs before losing 3-1 to LOUD in the final.

Derke departed shortly after the tournament, leaving Vitality searching for a new Duelist. The organization reportedly considered several players for the position, including former Team Heretics player Mert "Wo0t" Alkan, before moving toward jawgemo.

If the transfer goes through, jawgemo would join Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov, Ștefan "Sayonara" Mîtcu, and Dawid "PROFEK" Święć.

Jawgemo won VALORANT Champions 2023 with Evil Geniuses, helping the North American team defeat Paper Rex in the grand final. He later joined G2 Esports, where he continued competing at the highest level of VCT Americas.

His 2026 campaign included semifinal appearances at Masters Santiago and Champions Shanghai. G2 finished fourth at Champions after losing to 100 Thieves in the lower bracket semifinals.

The potential transfer would give Vitality an experienced Duelist with a world championship title. It would also be jawgemo's first season competing in VCT EMEA.

G2 is reportedly lining up HYUNMIN as jawgemo's replacement

G2 Esports is also reportedly preparing to sign former DRX Duelist Song "HYUNMIN" Hyun-min for the 2027 season. The South Korean player is expected to replace jawgemo as part of G2's ongoing roster changes.

HYUNMIN spent the previous two seasons competing in VCT Pacific with DRX, helping the team win Pacific Kickoff in 2025 and finish third at VALORANT Champions that year.

Neither G2 nor Vitality has officially confirmed the reported transfers, and the organizations have yet to announce their complete rosters for the 2027 season.
