Piero Reportedly Set to Join GIANTX for 2027 LEC Season
GIANTX has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with South Korean support Piero for the 2027 LEC season, setting up his first potential Tier 1 role.
GIANTX has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with South Korean support Kim "Piero" Jung-hun for the 2027 LEC season, putting the 24-year-old in position to make his Tier 1 debut after three years competing in Europe's regional leagues.
Sheep Esports reports that GIANTX moved early in the offseason to secure Piero, who spent 2025 with Karmine Corp Blue before joining Solary for the 2026 season. The agreement has not been officially announced by GIANTX, so the move should not yet be treated as a completed signing.
GIANTX reportedly moved before other interested LEC teams

According to Sheep Esports' reporting, Fnatic and Team Vitality both showed interest in Piero during the offseason, but neither submitted an offer before GIANTX reached its verbal agreement with him.
Piero had also been considered for an LEC move a year earlier. Sheep reports that Fnatic looked at both him and Lospa after discussions to acquire Jun from GIANTX did not produce a deal, with Fnatic ultimately signing Lospa instead.
GIANTX appears to have acted considerably earlier this time as it begins shaping its 2027 roster.
Piero is set to reach the LEC after a successful ERL run
The reported move would give Piero his first opportunity in Europe's top league.
After beginning his career in DRX's development system in South Korea, Piero moved to Europe and eventually established himself in the ERLs. Sheep Esports credits him with six regional league titles and two EMEA Masters championships across his career, including successful spells with Karmine Corp Blue and Solary.
His 2026 season with Solary also took him to the World Star Challengers Invitational grand final as part of Europe's representative lineup. The step to GIANTX would therefore move him directly from a successful Tier 2 run into his first LEC starting role.
GIANTX's support position is expected to change for 2027
GIANTX still officially lists Jun as its current support alongside Oscarinin, Isma, Jackies, and Flakked.
Sheep Esports reports, however, that Jun is heading toward Team Heretics after deciding to delay his military service obligations. The same report says GIANTX is rebuilding its roster for 2027 and has already contacted candidates across several positions.
Piero is the first starting player Sheep has reported as verbally locked in for that rebuild. Until GIANTX announces the signing, though, his move remains an offseason report rather than a confirmed roster addition.
