01Overview
Halo 4 is a first-person shooter developed by 343 Industries and the first main Halo game created without Bungie. The story follows Master Chief after he awakens aboard the Forward Unto Dawn and becomes stranded on the mysterious Forerunner world of Requiem. The campaign introduces the Prometheans, a new enemy faction that fights alongside returning Covenant forces. Combat combines familiar Halo weapons and vehicles with new Forerunner technology, while Master Chief’s relationship with Cortana becomes a central part of the story as her condition deteriorates. Multiplayer returns through the Infinity mode, which frames competitive matches as Spartan training exercises aboard the UNSC Infinity. Halo 4 also includes Spartan Ops, a series of cooperative missions that continue the story after the main campaign.
