Dave the Diver passes 10 million less than two years after five-million milestone

September 10, 2026·3 min read

Dave the Diver has now sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, up from the five-million milestone MINTROCKET announced in late 2024.

Nexon says the new total covers every platform, including the mobile version already released in China. The game's In the Jungle DLC has also passed one million sales, while the mobile edition is scheduled to launch globally on September 17.

MINTROCKET announced that Dave the Diver had passed five million copies sold in November 2024, with the game now crossing the 10-million mark less than two years later.

The game first entered Steam Early Access in October 2022 before receiving its full PC release in June 2023. It later expanded to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2, and mobile in China, giving the game a much wider audience than it had during its original PC launch.

Nexon's latest figure combines sales across those platforms rather than breaking the total down individually. The China mobile release has already contributed more than one million copies to that figure after launching there in February 2026.

At the center of Dave the Diver is its mix of underwater exploration and restaurant management. Players spend the day diving for fish and resources before helping run Bancho Sushi at night, with later updates and expansions adding new areas and activities without replacing that core structure.

Dave the Diver: In the Jungle has also reached a major milestone of its own, selling more than one million copies since its June release.

The expansion takes Dave away from the Blue Hole and into Utara, where he explores a freshwater environment while investigating a mysterious phenomenon affecting the village. The change in setting introduces different fish and creatures while keeping the exploration loop familiar to players of the main game.

The restaurant side also changes in In the Jungle. Rather than simply repeating Bancho Sushi, the expansion introduces a new operation built around grilling, giving the DLC its own variation on the management half of Dave the Diver.

Nexon has not provided a platform breakdown for the expansion's one-million total.

Dave the Diver launches globally on mobile September 17

The next major release for Dave the Diver is its worldwide mobile launch on iOS and Android on September 17.

The mobile version has already been available in China for several months, where it had sold more than one million copies by June. Its global release will bring the game to another large audience after its expansion across PC and consoles.

The mobile edition has been adapted for touch controls while keeping the same diving, fishing, exploration, and restaurant-management structure. Some additional content will also be available on mobile, including the DREDGE crossover and In the Jungle.

Nexon has not said how much it expects the worldwide mobile release to add to the game's current 10 million sales.
