Diablo IV comes to Nintendo Switch 2 with both expansions

Blizzard is bringing Diablo IV to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, 2026, through the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection. The package includes the base game and both of its expansions, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.

The Switch 2 release was confirmed during BlizzCon 2026 after earlier ratings had pointed to a Nintendo version. It arrives alongside the start of Season of Hell’s Legacy, giving Switch 2 players access to the game during its latest seasonal update.

Switch 2 players will get the original Diablo IV campaign along with both major expansions. Vessel of Hatred continues the story in Nahantu and introduces the Spiritborn, a class built around powers connected to different animal spirits.

Lord of Hatred, which launched in April 2026, continues the conflict with Mephisto and takes players to the Skovos Isles. The expansion also adds the Paladin and Warlock classes.

That means the Switch 2 package includes all eight classes currently available in Diablo IV. Players will not need to buy the earlier expansions separately to access their campaign content, regions, or classes through the collection.

The September 15 release coincides with Season of Hell’s Legacy, a new seasonal update tied to Diablo’s 30th anniversary. Blizzard is using the season to bring back enemies, items, and other elements inspired by earlier entries in the series.

The timing gives new Switch 2 players access to both the main campaigns and the current seasonal content from launch day. As with other platforms, seasonal characters will follow the game’s existing seasonal structure rather than functioning as a separate Switch 2 mode.

Blizzard also showed a playable Switch 2 version during BlizzCon 2026. Joy-Con 2 support has been confirmed, although detailed resolution and frame-rate targets have not yet been announced.
