Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40K Reveal Set for July 30
The Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40,000 crossover finally has a date for its full reveal, with Arrowhead showing the new Legendary Warbond on July 30 after two months of secrecy. The latest teaser keeps most details hidden, but the sight of a heavy handgun gives players their first useful clue about the gear coming to Super Earth.
The crossover was announced during Warhammer Skulls in May and is planned for PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Arrowhead has not confirmed the release date, price, armour sets, or full weapon list, so the next showing needs to answer those questions instead of offering another quick look at logos and familiar Warhammer imagery.
The Full Warbond Reveal Is Almost Here

Arrowhead's new teaser shows a handgun that closely resembles a bolt pistol, one of the best-known weapons in Warhammer 40,000. The gun has not been named, and its role is still unknown, but it points toward Imperial equipment rather than a loose set of Warhammer-inspired cosmetics. The full reveal should show which faction shaped the pack.
Players have a rough idea of the possible size because the earlier Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond cost 1,500 Super Credits and included three weapons, two armour sets, vehicle patterns, a booster, a title, and other cosmetic rewards. The Warhammer pack may follow a similar structure, though Arrowhead has not promised the same price or item count.
A complete reward page will be more useful than another cinematic trailer because players need to see the armour passives, weapon roles, medal costs, and whether the pack includes anything beyond guns and outfits. A launch date would also help anyone deciding whether to save earned Super Credits or spend them before the crossover arrives.

Warhammer Fits the Galactic War Naturally

Both worlds share enough ideas that the crossover does not need much explanation. Helldivers 2 sends ordinary soldiers into brutal fights while Super Earth covers every loss with speeches about freedom and duty. Warhammer 40,000 builds its endless wars around sacrifice, propaganda, alien threats, and an Imperium that treats human lives as another resource.
That connection gives Arrowhead several ways to use Warhammer designs without turning every Helldiver into a Space Marine. Astra Militarum or Kasrkin-style armour would match normal soldiers, while Space Marine gear could work better as an Exosuit pattern. Lasguns, chainswords, and bolt weapons would also fit the game's current loadout system.
The humour still needs to stay on the Helldivers 2 side of the line. Warhammer can be dark and serious, while Arrowhead uses military confidence to make every disaster funnier. The best version of this crossover will bring the heavy weapons and harsh designs into Super Earth's world without making the game feel like a temporary Warhammer mode.
The Weapons Need to Earn Their Place
Famous armour and capes will make the Warbond easy to sell, but players will judge it by what survives after the first week. A bolt pistol should feel louder and heavier than the sidearms already available, while a lasgun needs its own clear strength instead of becoming another energy rifle with a different model.
Balance will decide whether the crossover gear becomes part of regular missions or stays inside themed loadouts. Legendary Warbonds cost more than standard packs, so weak weapons would make the price difficult to defend. Overpowered gear would push older favourites aside and make the collaboration feel too close to paid power.
Arrowhead also delayed another planned Warbond because it needed more development time, making this reveal a useful test of the studio's current approach. July 30 needs to show a finished pack with clear roles for every weapon, useful armour passives, and a firm launch plan. The Warhammer name will attract attention, but the gear has to work once the novelty wears off.
