Marvel’s Wolverine reveals new crossover suit

Marvel’s Wolverine has revealed a brand-new suit for Logan ahead of the PS5 game’s September launch. Insomniac Games showed the new look during its latest San Diego Comic-Con update, where the studio also shared story details, new art and another trailer.

The suit comes from MA RVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Arc System Works’ upcoming Marvel fighting game. It gives Wolverine a more stylized design than his main Battle Reborn look and will be unlockable through normal game progression on day one.

The new outfit is part of a crossover between Marvel’s Wolverine and MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Instead of being tied only to a paid edition or preorder bonus, the Tōkon suit will be available in Marvel’s Wolverine through game progression at launch.

That makes the reveal more interesting for players who want extra cosmetic options without buying a higher-priced edition. Insomniac has already shown several Wolverine suits, but this one stands apart because it connects two upcoming Marvel games.

Battle Reborn Suit Is Also Coming To Tōkon

The crossover is not only adding a Tōkon-inspired look to Marvel’s Wolverine. Wolverine’s Battle Reborn suit from Insomniac’s game is also coming to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

That version will be available free for Tōkon players starting September 1. It gives the fighting game a direct link to Insomniac’s Wolverine, while also keeping the PS5 game visible before its own release later in the month.

Story Trailer Shows New Threats

The suit reveal arrived alongside a new Marvel’s Wolverine story trailer. The trailer shows Logan confronting Jean Grey and also highlights The Hand as one of the enemy factions players will face.

Deathstrike is also part of the game’s villain lineup. Insomniac has positioned her as one of the major threats in Logan’s story, adding another personal enemy to a game already focused on his violent past and mutant connections.

More Suits Are Already Confirmed

Marvel’s Wolverine will include more than one alternate look for Logan. The preorder bonus includes early access to the Classic Brown suit, while the Digital Deluxe Edition adds five exclusive suits and matching claw cosmetics.

Those Deluxe Edition suits include Incredible, Savage, Age of Apocalypse, Night Hunt and New Leather. The suits and claws are cosmetic, so they change Logan’s appearance rather than replacing the core combat system.

Marvel’s Wolverine launches on September 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5. The game is developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and follows Logan in a brutal single-player action adventure.

The new crossover suit gives players another confirmed look to unlock when the game arrives. It also shows how Sony and Marvel are connecting Wolverine’s PS5 debut with MARVEL Tōkon before both games reach players.
