God of War Laufey Preorders Start September 29 With New Bonuses
Both editions include the same preorder bonuses, while the Digital Deluxe Edition adds a full Dark Alchemy gear set. Sony also revealed how Faye's new Serpent Bow handles precision and close-range combat.
Preorders for God of War Laufey open on September 29 at 10am local time, with Sony detailing the bonuses and Digital Deluxe Edition ahead of the PS5 game's February 16, 2027 release.
Players who preorder will receive the Last Wish Armor Set, a Golden Leaves appearance for Phranque and an in-game resource pack. Santa Monica Studio also used the announcement to reveal more of Faye's combat, including her new Serpent Bow and its different firing modes.
Every preorder includes armor, a Phranque cosmetic and resources

The preorder bonuses are available to players who buy the game before launch, regardless of whether they choose the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition. The Last Wish Armor Set gives Faye another equipment option, while Phranque receives a Golden Leaves cosmetic appearance. An additional resource pack is also included.
The Last Wish Armor Set and Phranque appearance unlock through story progression, as do the Dark Alchemy equipment items included with the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Physical Standard Edition preorders receive the bonus through a download code, which requires an internet connection and PlayStation account to redeem.
Digital Deluxe adds a complete Dark Alchemy gear set

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes several additional pieces of equipment built around the Dark Alchemy theme.
Players receive the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales and Dark Alchemy Catalyst. Another in-game resource pack is included alongside a digital mini artbook and the official God of War Laufey digital soundtrack. The announcement did not include pricing for either edition.
Faye's Serpent Bow switches between precision and close-range attacks
The preorder reveal also provided a closer look at the Serpent Bow, an enchanted weapon Faye can weave into her other attacks. Fully pressing the aim trigger puts the bow into a precision mode with longer draw distance. Shots aimed at specific parts of an enemy can hinder movement or attacks, while charging the bow allows Faye to load up to five arrows before firing them together.
A half press activates a more mobile hip-fire stance built around close-range attacks and quick arrow clusters. The faster firing style can also keep airborne enemies in a combo while Faye switches between the bow, her sword and other abilities.
Different arrow types include rapid-fire, explosive and multi-target options. Players can also equip Serpent Scales that change the bow's appearance and provide different perks, while the Serpent Bow has additional skills that can be unlocked.
Sony also outlined Faye's wider equipment customization. Blades modify her sword, Scales customize the Serpent Bow, and Catalysts are magical artifacts with different effects, while armor can change her perks, stats and appearance.
God of War Laufey launches for PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027.
