Silent Hill: Townfall is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC, bringing Screen Burn Interactive's first-person psychological horror game to players four years after its original reveal.
Konami launched the game on September 24, 2026, through PS5, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Townfall is co-published by Konami and Annapurna Interactive and is the latest full-length entry in the Silent Hill series.
The story follows Simon Ordell, who washes ashore on the isolated island of St. Amelia in Scotland. Guided only by the instruction to "put things right," Simon begins exploring the abandoned town and uncovering its connection to his past.
The setting moves the series away from its familiar American locations while keeping its focus on psychological horror. St. Amelia is filled with dense fog, abandoned buildings and fragmented memories that gradually reveal what happened to the people who once lived there. Screen Burn has built the game around exploration, puzzles, stealth and combat rather than relying only on scripted scares.
Townfall is the first full-length Silent Hill game played entirely from a first-person perspective. Screen Burn says the closer viewpoint is designed to make limited visibility and environmental sound more important while exploring St. Amelia.
One of Simon's main tools is the CRTV, a handheld television that replaces the traditional radio used in earlier Silent Hill games. It can detect nearby creatures, pick up unusual signals and reveal information needed to solve puzzles.
Combat is still part of the experience, but Simon has limited weapons and resources. Players will also need to avoid threats and use the environment when fighting is not the safest option. The puzzles are closely tied to the story, with clues and pieces of information spread across the island rather than separated into standalone challenges.
Silent Hill: Townfall is available digitally on PS5, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PlayStation 5 version is also the only platform receiving a physical release.
Konami is selling Standard and Deluxe editions. The Deluxe Edition includes a digital artbook, soundtrack and an alternate outfit for Simon, alongside additional cosmetic content.
The launch continues Konami's recent run of new Silent Hill releases following the
Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024 and
Silent Hill f in 2025.
Silent Hill: Townfall is available now on PS5 and PC, with no Xbox or Nintendo versions currently announced.
