EDward Gaming's nobody Reportedly Set to Join Trace Esports for VCT 2027

EDward Gaming's Wang "nobody" Senxu is reportedly set to join Trace Esports for the 2027 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) China season. The move would end his five-year spell with EDG, where he helped the organization win the 2024 world championship.

According to a November 5 report from Sheep Esports, the Chinese Initiator is expected to become part of Trace's rebuilt lineup alongside two returning players. Neither organization has officially confirmed the transfer.

Trace Esports Expected to Retain Kai and deLb

Trace Esports are reportedly planning to keep duelist Lu "Kai" Zhinan and Indonesian player Delbert "deLb" Tanoto for the 2027 season. Both players have contracts running through the end of next year, while the organization is expected to make changes elsewhere in its lineup.

Nobody's potential arrival would give Trace an experienced Initiator with several years of international competition behind him.

The organization struggled throughout 2026 and failed to qualify for an international VCT event. Its Stage 2 playoff campaign ended with consecutive losses to Bilibili Gaming and All Gamers.

Trace previously reached the playoffs at Champions Seoul 2024, but has been unable to return to that level of international competition.

CHICHOO Could Reunite With nobody at Trace Esports

Nobody may not be the only EDward Gaming player heading to Trace. A separate November 5 report from Sheep Esports claims that Wan "CHICHOO" Shunzhi is also expected to join the organization for 2027.

The potential signing would reunite two members of EDG's world championship-winning roster. Nobody primarily plays Initiator agents, while CHICHOO is known for his flexibility across Sentinel and Controller roles, particularly on Cypher and Viper.

If both transfers are completed, Trace would have four players linked to its 2027 lineup: nobody, CHICHOO, Kai, and deLb. The organization has not confirmed either reported addition or announced its final starting roster.

EDward Gaming's 2026 Struggles Followed a Strong Start

Nobody joined EDward Gaming in late 2021 and became part of the roster that established the organization as a leading force in Chinese VALORANT.

His biggest achievement came at Champions Seoul 2024, when EDG defeated Team Heretics 3-2 in the grand final to secure China's first VALORANT world championship.

EDG began 2026 strongly, winning VCT China Stage 1 and finishing third at Masters London. However, their results declined during the second half of the season.

The team failed to reach the Stage 2 playoffs and entered Champions Shanghai as China's third seed. Their tournament ended in the group stage following defeats to LOUD and Global Esports, without winning a series.
