New Fortnite DC Collab Leaked

July 2, 2026·3 min read
Fortnite may be getting another DC crossover, and it looks different from the usual Gotham theme. A leaked promotional image points to summer versions of Batman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy, giving the characters a beach-style twist instead of their darker comic looks. Epic has not announced the collab yet, so the details should be treated as leaks until the company confirms them.

The reported release date is July 16. The same leak also points to a Batman Sprite, a Batman Sidekick, and a Batmobile, which could make this more than a simple skin drop.

Gotham is getting a summer remix

The leaked lineup makes sense for Fortnite. Batman is the obvious headline name, but Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy give the set more personality.

Fortnite has already used DC characters before, so a normal return would not feel that surprising. A summer version is more interesting because it gives Epic a reason to bring familiar characters back with new designs.

That is usually where Fortnite is strongest with crossovers. It does not just copy a character into the Item Shop. It twists them into whatever the current season needs, whether that means beach outfits, festival looks, LEGO styles, or something completely strange.

Batman could be more than a skin

Batman is still the biggest part of the leak, but the rumored extras may be what players notice most. A Batman Sprite would connect the crossover to the current season’s gameplay instead of leaving it only as a cosmetic bundle.

Sprites have been part of Fortnite’s recent match flow, giving players small creatures to carry and use during games. A Batman version would be a simple way to make the collab feel present on the island.

The reported Batman Sidekick also fits Fortnite’s newer cosmetic push. Sidekicks are another way for players to carry a theme into matches, and Batman is one of the easiest characters to build that around.

Harley, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy help the drop stand out

A Batman-only drop would still sell, but the rest of the rumored lineup makes the crossover feel stronger. Harley Quinn brings chaos, Catwoman brings the better stylish side, and Poison Ivy fits a brighter summer look better than most DC villains.

That gives players more than one cosmetic to look forward to. Some will want Batman because he is Batman. Others may be more interested in the colorful Gotham characters who fit Fortnite’s tone more naturally.

It also keeps the collaboration from feeling too serious. Fortnite works best when it lets major franchises loosen up a little, and a summer Gotham set leans into that without needing a full story event.

Epic still needs to confirm the details

The character list is the exciting part, but the practical questions are still open. Players do not know the prices, bundle setup, quest links, or whether any of the items will be free.

The Batmobile is another detail to watch. It could be a vehicle cosmetic, a shop item, or part of a larger update feature. Until Epic shows it properly, players should avoid assuming how it will work.

For now, the leak points to a fun summer return for Fortnite and DC. If the details hold, Batman and Gotham’s biggest names may be coming back with enough of a twist to feel new again.
