007 First Light Gets Switch 2 Release Date and GoldenEye Pre-Order Bonus
October 15, 2026·3 min read
007 First Light launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027, with a GoldenEye Suit pre-order bonus and a Deluxe Edition offering extra cosmetics.
IO Interactive has confirmed that 007 First Light will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027. Pre-orders are open now, with early buyers receiving an exclusive GoldenEye-themed outfit.
The Switch 2 edition arrives after the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, which launched on May 27, 2026. IO Interactive previously delayed the Nintendo release to allow more time for optimization and performance improvements.
Switch 2 Pre-orders Include a GoldenEye Suit

Players who pre-order 007 First Light on Switch 2 will receive the GoldenEye Suit at launch. The cosmetic references Bond's long history on Nintendo hardware, particularly the Nintendo 64 classic GoldenEye 007.
The suit does not add new missions or provide a gameplay advantage. It is a cosmetic bonus that gives Bond another outfit option during the campaign.
Pre-orders are available through Nintendo and selected retailers. IO Interactive also released a new trailer alongside the announcement, showing the Switch 2 version in action.
Deluxe Edition Adds More Cosmetic Content
The 007 First Light Deluxe Edition costs $69.99 on Switch 2. It includes four additional outfits: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator.
Players also receive four cosmetic gadgets: the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun and Gleaming Pen. An Amazon-exclusive Special Edition includes the Classic Tuxedo as another cosmetic option.
These bonuses are focused on customization rather than additional story content. Players mainly interested in the Nintendo-specific GoldenEye Suit should check that their chosen pre-order edition qualifies for the bonus.
IO Interactive Is Still Polishing the Switch 2 Version

The Switch 2 edition was originally expected earlier before being pushed to March 2027. IO Interactive said the extra development time would be used to improve performance and make sure the port meets the studio's quality targets.
Playable Switch 2 builds have already appeared at events including gamescom and Tokyo Game Show. Development is continuing ahead of release, with the latest trailer offering another look at how the game performs on Nintendo's hardware.
007 First Light Arrives in March 2027
007 First Light follows a younger James Bond as he enters MI6's revived Double 0 program. Missions mix stealth, gadgets, dialogue choices and direct combat, allowing players to approach situations in different ways.
Nintendo Switch 2 owners now have a confirmed release date after months of uncertainty surrounding the delayed version. 007 First Light launches on March 18, 2027, with the GoldenEye Suit available as a pre-order bonus.
