Capcom Spotlight will show more Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC and Onimusha
June 24, 2026·3 min read
Capcom does not need a mystery announcement to make this week’s Spotlight worth watching. The publisher already has a strong lineup on the table, and each game has something important to prove. One is a major DLC for an RPG that players wanted more from. One is the return of a classic action series. One gives Monster Hunter fans a different kind of RPG to follow.
The next Capcom Spotlight airs on June 25 at 2:00 p.m. PDT and runs for about 30 minutes. Capcom has confirmed that the show will focus on Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the main reason to watch
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will likely get the most attention. The paid expansion launches on October 9, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The original Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen gave the first game a stronger late-game identity and helped keep it alive with players long after launch. Fans will not expect the new DLC to repeat the same ideas exactly, but they will expect it to add real weight to Dragon’s Dogma 2.
That makes this Spotlight important. Players want to see new monsters, quests, areas, gear, and harder content. A strong showing could make the expansion feel like the reason to return instead of just another paid add-on.

Onimusha has to show its combat
Onimusha: Way of the Sword brings a very different kind of excitement. Capcom is reviving a series that older fans remember well, but the new game also has to speak to players who know Capcom more for Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Monster Hunter.
A dark samurai action game has an easy hook, especially with Capcom behind it. What the Spotlight needs to show is how the swordplay actually feels.
Players will want to see enemy behavior, parries, finishers, boss pressure, and how much control they have during fights. Nostalgia can get people to watch the trailer, but clean combat is what will make them care about the full game.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 gives the show balance
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection should give the broadcast a softer change of pace. It is not trying to be the same kind of action game as the other two. Its appeal comes from turn-based battles, monster bonds, story, and a different view of the Monster Hunter world.
Capcom is not only showing swords and giant monsters in action RPGs. It is also giving space to a branch of Monster Hunter that works for players who enjoy collecting, raising, and fighting alongside creatures.
For this segment, the useful details would be new monsters, battle changes, story setup, and any post-launch plans. The series has its own audience, and this is a good chance to show why the third game deserves attention.
The show works if it stays direct
A 30-minute Spotlight can be useful if Capcom keeps it focused. Players need gameplay, clear release details, and simple explanations of what is new. Long speeches would only slow down a lineup that already has strong names.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen can bring players back to a world that still has room to grow. Onimusha: Way of the Sword can show whether the revival has the combat to match its style. Monster Hunter Stories 3 can remind fans that Capcom’s RPG lineup is broader than one kind of adventure.
The games are already confirmed. Now Capcom needs to make each one feel sharper before the stream ends.
