Game of Thrones: Conquest Confirms Children of the Forest Event for July 29

July 28, 2026·3 min read

Westeros is stepping away from dragons and royal wars for its next mobile event. Game of Thrones: Conquest will put the Children of the Forest at the centre of a limited-time storyline on July 29, giving players a rare look at the ancient people who shaped the continent long before the great houses fought for the Iron Throne.

The event runs through July 30 on iOS and Android, with themed missions, rewards, and collectible items planned for active players. This is not a separate Game of Thrones release, but the older setting gives the long-running strategy game a fresher direction than another event built around familiar rulers or battles from the television series.

The Event Turns to Ancient Westeros

The Children of the Forest lived across Westeros before the First Men arrived, building their lives around caves, forests, and weirwood trees. Their long war with the newcomers changed the continent forever and eventually led to the creation of the White Walkers, making them one of the most important groups in the world's history.

The television series showed only small parts of that story, usually through Bran Stark's journey and the Three-Eyed Raven. Much of the group's past still sits inside legends, old records, and unanswered questions, so the event has room to use familiar ideas without simply repeating scenes players already know from the show.

Ancient magic, dragonglass, carved faces, and weirwood imagery all fit the theme naturally. A short mobile event cannot explore every mystery around the Children, but it can give players a different view of Westeros before castles, noble houses, and royal armies controlled most of the map.

The Theme Fits Conquest Well

Game of Thrones: Conquest is built around raising armies, strengthening a kingdom, working with alliances, and fighting for territory. The Children of the Forest offer a useful change because the event can use those normal systems while moving attention away from the rulers and family conflicts that usually lead the game's monthly content.

The announced activities include themed objectives and limited rewards, although the full scoring rules have not been shared. Earlier events connected to the same name used PvP battles, Strategic Terrain, and Battlefield Salvage, but those features should not be treated as confirmed until the new event panel appears inside the game.

Players should hold resources, check alliance plans, and wait for the official task list before spending speed-ups or moving troops across the map. The theme may be different, but success will still depend on how well each group understands the points system once it goes live.

The Short Window Changes the Pace

A two-day event leaves little room for players who join late or wait for guides to appear. Anyone chasing the best rewards will need to check the game early, learn which actions earn points, and coordinate with an active alliance before the strongest groups begin controlling important areas.

Newer players may find the lore more interesting than the competition itself, especially because Conquest remains a game shaped by timers, upgrades, alliance power, and in-app spending. The Children of the Forest theme does not remove those systems, so account strength will still affect how much progress each player can make.

The final reward list and exact event rules are the most useful details still missing. Once those appear, players will know whether the event offers a meaningful change or mainly adds a new look to familiar activities. The ancient setting deserves more than a cosmetic swap, and the scoring structure will decide how much of that promise reaches the game.
