PEAK PS5 Version Appears in ESRB Rating Ahead of Console Release
PEAK has received an ESRB rating for PlayStation 5, with Skybound Games listed as publisher. The co-op climbing game's console release date remains unannounced.
PEAK, the popular co-op climbing game from Aggro Crab and Landfall, has received an official age rating for PlayStation 5, providing new evidence of its upcoming console release. The listing appeared on the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website on October 13, 2026.
The game originally launched on Steam in June 2025 and became one of the year's biggest indie successes. Although the developers have already confirmed plans to bring PEAK to consoles, they have not announced a PS5 release date or launch window.
ESRB listing identifies Skybound Games as PS5 publisher

The ESRB has rated PEAK E10+ for Everyone 10+, citing Fantasy Violence and the Users Interact notice. The listing specifically identifies PlayStation 5 as the platform and names Skybound Games as the publisher.
The rating description outlines the game's cooperative climbing challenges, including exploring a mysterious island, collecting equipment and helping teammates survive dangerous obstacles. It also mentions threats such as spiders, zombies and cartoon-style violence.
Skybound Games' involvement is notable because Aggro Crab and Landfall developed and published the original PC release. However, the rating does not explain Skybound's exact role in bringing the game to PS5.
The developers have not confirmed pricing, preorder availability or whether the console version will receive a physical release.
PEAK challenges four players to survive a changing mountain

In PEAK, players control scouts stranded on a mysterious island. Their only hope of rescue is to reach the summit of a dangerous mountain, either alone or in a group of up to four players.
Climbing requires careful stamina management, cooperation and the use of equipment such as ropes and climbing spikes. Players must also gather food, treat injuries and overcome environmental hazards while progressing through different regions.
Teammates can help each other reach difficult areas, share supplies and communicate through proximity voice chat. The mountain's layout changes every 24 hours, giving players new routes to explore rather than a single course to memorize.
The game's unpredictable climbing challenges helped it attract a large audience following its PC launch, with subsequent updates expanding the available environments and obstacles.
Console versions will support cross-platform multiplayer
Landfall has already confirmed that PEAK is being developed for consoles. According to the studio's official FAQ, the upcoming versions will support cross-platform multiplayer, allowing console players to join friends on Steam and other supported consoles.
The developers have not yet announced the complete console lineup or explained how cross-platform invitations and progression will work.
Landfall also confirmed that PEAK received its final major content update with the addition of the Citadel and Gloom biomes. The studio does not intend to turn the game into an ongoing live-service title, although bug fixes and maintenance will continue.
With major content development completed, Aggro Crab and Landfall are focusing on bringing the climbing adventure to more platforms. The PS5 rating identifies one of those destinations, but an official release announcement is still pending.
