A new World of Warcraft mount discovered in the live game files is hard to mistake for anything already roaming Azeroth. Called the Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan, the enormous ox carries a small furnished home on its back, complete with luggage, a covered living area, and room for more than one rider. Wowhead found the mount in the live Patch 12.1 data, while dataminer Stiven also shared footage of the model on August 13.
Blizzard has not announced the Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan, and players cannot obtain it yet. The database does provide one important clue about its eventual release, however. Its current source points to the Battle.net Shop, meaning this unusually elaborate mount appears to be planned as a paid item rather than a reward earned through regular gameplay.

The caravan is built around a huge ox carrying far more than a normal saddle. A small illuminated structure sits across its back alongside bags, containers, wooden fittings, and other traveling equipment. Its in-game description compares the experience with being as comfortable as home while traveling like a tortollan trader, which fits the moving-house design closely.
Current database information classifies the Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan as a ground mount requiring Apprentice Riding and level 10. That means its unusual appearance does not appear to come with flying functionality, at least in its present form. Warcraft Mounts also lists it as unimplemented, so those details could still change before Blizzard releases it.
The model has another detail that makes it more interesting than a purely decorative mount. Stiven's datamined footage identifies one position for the owner and two additional seats, although there is no confirmation of what Blizzard intends to place there. They could simply carry other players, or Blizzard could eventually use the spaces for NPCs or another function. The current data does not settle that question.

The Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan has appeared after housing became a central part of World of Warcraft: Midnight. Blizzard's housing system gives players homes inside shared Neighborhoods, while monthly Endeavors ask residents to complete activities together to unlock currencies, vendors, and decorations. Housing has continued to expand alongside the rest of Midnight since its introduction.
A mount carrying its own small house naturally fits that theme, especially when its description directly compares the caravan with the comfort of home. That does not prove it will interact with housing, though. Blizzard has not announced housing services, crafting functions, Neighborhood access, or any other utility for the mount, so the extra seats should not be treated as evidence of features that have yet to be confirmed.
Players hoping the caravan might become a lengthy quest reward, achievement mount, or expensive gold sink may have a different route waiting for them. The Patch 12.1 database currently lists the Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan as a Battle.net Shop item, and Warcraft Mounts places it among the patch's unimplemented mount appearances rather than its earnable rewards.
There is no price attached to the discovery. Blizzard also has not announced a release date, bundle, promotion, or regional availability, so comparing the caravan directly with previously sold premium mounts would go beyond what is currently known. The shop classification is strong evidence of Blizzard's present plan, but datamined information can change before an item reaches players.
That distinction is especially important because the caravan has only been found in the files. Calling it an upcoming shop purchase is reasonable based on its listed source, but calling its release confirmed would be premature until Blizzard puts it on sale or announces it publicly.
The discovery arrived shortly after Curse of Ula'tek launched on August 11 as World of Warcraft: Midnight's Patch 12.1 update. Blizzard's update added the Coiled Isle and continued the expansion's current content cycle, while the Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan appeared among the new data associated with the patch.
For now, the moving home remains something players can inspect but not collect. Its model, description, riding requirements, extra seats, and shop source are all present in the data, but Blizzard has yet to reveal when the Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan will actually arrive or whether its unusual design hides any functionality beyond carrying passengers.
