Resident Evil Veronica Could Reportedly Slip to Fall 2027

Resident Evil Veronica could reportedly move to fall 2027, according to a new claim from Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem.

Capcom has only announced a broad 2027 release window for the remake and has never publicly committed to an early 2027 launch. The earlier Q1 or Q2 timing also came from insider reporting rather than an official schedule.

Dusk Golem said he had heard from three different people he trusts that there was a high chance Resident Evil Veronica had moved to fall 2027. However, he stressed that he had not heard the information directly himself and advised treating the claim with some caution.

Previous reporting from Dusk Golem had said Capcom was trying to get the remake finished for Q1 2027, with Q2 considered possible if more development time was needed. The new claim suggests that internal timing may now have moved later into the year.

Dusk Golem also said he was aware of late changes being made to the game, but any connection between those changes and the reported fall window remains speculative. Capcom has not commented on an internal delay or explained whether the remake's scope has changed.

Capcom announced Resident Evil Veronica as a remake of 2000's Resident Evil Code: Veronica and currently lists only 2027 as its release window.

The publisher says the new version will preserve the essence of the original while introducing modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and updated visuals. No month, season, or exact date has been announced.

That distinction means the reported move to fall would be an internal scheduling change rather than a delay to a date Capcom had already promised publicly.
