Call of Duty

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and set during World War II. The campaign follows American, British and Soviet soldiers across different parts of the European conflict, with each perspective showing a separate side of the war. Missions range from infantry assaults and defensive battles to vehicle sections and covert operations. Combat uses period weapons such as rifles, submachine guns and machine guns, while iron-sight aiming gives shooting a more deliberate feel than many earlier shooters. A major focus is fighting alongside AI-controlled squadmates rather than operating alone. Allied soldiers advance, take cover and engage enemies throughout missions, helping create the sense of participating in larger battles. Multiplayer adds competitive modes built around the same weapons and maps.
